Privacy Policy

ClickStorm keeps data collection to a minimum. This page explains what happens when you use the site, including how advertising and cookies work when they are enabled.

Everything runs in your browser

All tests on ClickStorm (CPS tests, the reaction time test, the aim trainer, the spacebar counter and the rest) run entirely client-side in your browser. Your clicks, keypresses and scores are processed on your own device and are never sent to a server.

Your personal bests are stored in your browser's localStorage so you can try to beat them on a later visit. That data stays on your device. You can remove it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this site.

Accounts

The site has no user accounts and no sign-up forms. There is nothing to register for and nothing to log into.

Advertising, cookies and analytics

ClickStorm is a free site, and like most free sites it may show advertising from third-party ad networks (for example Google AdSense or Ezoic) to help cover hosting costs. When ads are switched on, those networks and their partners can set cookies or use similar technology in your browser to serve ads and measure how they perform. The site may also use basic, aggregate analytics to understand traffic patterns; this does not involve your test scores, which always stay local as described above.

If you visit from the EEA or UK, you will be asked for consent before any personalized ad or non-essential cookie is set, through a consent banner. You can decline and still use every test on the site. We do not sell your data, and we do not build profiles of visitors ourselves; any data used for ads is handled by the ad network under its own privacy policy.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes standard technical request data (such as your IP address) to deliver the pages and keep the service secure. See the Vercel privacy policy for details.

Changes and contact

If the way the site works ever changes, for example when advertising or analytics is switched on, this page will be updated first. Read the terms of service for the rest of the rules, or see the about page for what the site is and how the tests work. Questions go through the contact page.
